Thonburi is considered a simple neighborhood of Bangkok, but it is actually an ancient city.

  • Arrival at Bangkok International Airport.
  • Welcome by your French-speaking Thai guide and transfer to your hotel.
  • Free lunch.
  • You then go to the Klongs (canals) of Thonburi where a boat ride will be organized.
  • You then discover the living Thai people in an essentially lacustrine way.
  • Stop at Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn). The chedi of this temple is entirely covered with pieces of multicolored porcelain inlaid in the form of flowers.

  • Visit of the royal palace, founded in 1782 by King Rama 1st. The wall of the palace protects an enclosure of 259 hectares. You will discover in this area the Wat Phra Keo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), which is in fact the royal chapel of the great The Emerald Buddha, which measures only 60 cm, is the most famous and most venerated statue of Thailand.
  • Visit the largest monastery in Thailand, Wat Pho, that housed the Laying Buddha.
  • Lunch
  • Then walk, in the heart of Chinatown which overflows of shops of all kinds. Walking through Chinatown is both exhilarating and exhausting. It is the kingdom of pedestrians, especially in the tiny ones (narrow alleys) near the river. This colorful and flavorful neighborhood is the oldest in Bangkok.
  • You will also visit the Wat Traimitr (Golden Buddha Temple), home to the largest solid gold Buddha in the world: five and a half tons. This Pagoda is located at the entrance of Chinatown.
  • Return to your hotel.
